Dull Spots on Your Stone?
It May Not Be a Stain.

Marble, travertine, limestone, and onyx are sensitive to everyday acids — lemon juice, vinegar, wine, coffee, and even many common cleaners can dull the polished surface of your stone.

The result looks like a water spot, a dull ring, or a worn out area. But it's not a stain. It's an etch mark — and cleaning it won't help.

Etch marks happen when acid affects the surface finish of the stone itself. To restore the shine, the surface needs to be polished again.

That's exactly what Magic Renova is designed to do.

Four Simple Steps to Restored Stone

Step 1 — Remove the damage
Start with the Red pad and water. Do 6 to 10 passes. This is the most important step — work the surface until it's completely even and matte. The system tells you exactly what to look for.

Steps 2, 3 & 4 — Restore the shine
Continue through the Orange, Yellow, and Blue pads in order. 6 to 10 passes each. Each step builds on the last, gradually bringing the stone back to life.

Final Step — The Green pad
6 to 10 passes. Finish with the Green Bonastre pad for full gloss and clarity. This is where you see the transformation.

I made the purchase thinking it was a little expensive for what it was. The results on my marble exceeded my expectation, completely worth the money.

Great Investment We got this so we could shine up our marble as we have 4 marble showers as well as marble countertops in our kitchens and bathrooms. The instructional videos made it super easy to follow along and go through each step. We were very pleased with the results. Our showers, countertops and our marble tile in our master bath have never looked better. Only downside is we did not realize we should have ordered the set of replacement pads along with the kit. We quickly realized we needed more pads once we started our master. Other then needing more pads we had no issues and love the simplicity but functionality of this kit. 5/5 recommend, certainly worth the money as we had a quote for $9k to restore all the marble in our house by a professional.

Great kit at a fair price. As a handyman, I was able to polish my client’s black marble vanity and easily remove the serious etching. They were prepared to completely replace the surface and this was much less expensive. It was an approximate 4 hr process to include cleaning before polish, polishing through all grits then sealing. They were happy and said it looked better than new. Simply follow the video instructions and it works!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on granite?

Magic Renova is designed for marble, travertine, limestone, and onyx. It is not suitable for granite. For quartz surfaces, we have a specific kit — click here to view the Quartz Polishing Kit.

Not sure what type of stone you have? Send us a photo and we'll help before you order — renova@bonastreusa.com

Do I need experience or special tools?

No experience needed. You'll need a standard variable-speed drill — the kit includes the flexible drill attachment and step-by-step instructions. A full video tutorial is also available.

How much surface area does the kit cover? Do I need replacement pads?

The 5" kit covers approximately 75 to 120 sq ft, depending on the condition of the surface, the equipment used, and technique. A variable-speed drill or hand polisher will affect how efficiently the pads work. For a single countertop or vanity, one kit is typically enough. If you have a larger surface area or multiple surfaces to restore, we recommend adding replacement pads. Click here to view replacement pads.

Can it fix deep scratches or cracks?

No. Magic Renova corrects etching, dull spots, and loss of shine. Deep scratches, cracks, and severe damage require professional restoration. If you're unsure about your surface, send us a photo before ordering.

What if it doesn't work on my surface?

Results depend on the type of stone, equipment used, and the level of damage. If you're unsure whether Magic Renova is right for your situation, send us a photo before ordering — we'll give you an honest answer.

How many passes do I need to do with each step?

As a general guide, plan on 6 to 10 passes per step, always keeping the surface wet with clean water.

Red pad — 6 to 10 passes. Repeat until the surface is completely even and matte, with all damage removed. This is the most important step.

Orange, Yellow, and Blue pads — 6 to 10 passes each, working toward an even finish.

Green pad — 6 to 10 passes for final gloss. Repeat if needed.

Every stone is different — the Red pad may require more passes depending on the level of damage. Watch the step-by-step tutorial to see the full process in action.
